Joanna Norris has over 20 years of public relations, media relations and crisis communications experience and manages all public relations as well as marketing efforts for the various departments in the Davis College of Business, which include business, engineering, aviation and technology.

Prior to JU, she spent 15 years in higher education at the University of North Florida, where she spent the last eight years as Public Relations Director. She oversaw communications/PR for the entire university, which included media relations, social media, internal communications as well as crisis communications.

During Norris’ public relations/communications career, she was the Media Relations Specialist at UF Health Jacksonville, freelance writer for The Florida Times-Union and education reporter for the Ponte Vedra Recorder. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky.
